Samsung will unveil new Android device on November 8th – what could they be? Here are some possibilities….

By now, you may have already heard that Samsung will be unveiling some Android devices on November 8th. They haven’t even mentioned what type of device this will be. Speculations are already flowing through the internet.

Here are some possibilities:

  • Samsung Continuum – this is the dual screen phone we all have seen before. An original concept but I’m not sure if it will catch on.
  • Samsung Galaxy Tab, 10-inch version – this has been mentioned previously, but I don’t think Samsung is ready to release the 1o-inch version yet. My guess would be that they will release this device at best late Q1 of 2011, or more likely, Q2.
  • Samsung “Google phone” – there has been some rumors that Samsung is working with Google on their next “Google phone”. And for some unknown reason, the processor of the choice will be NVIDIA’s Tegra 2 processor. I don’t expect this to show up during Q4 of 2011 though.
  • Samsung Galaxy S2 – this will be a successor to Galaxy S and some insane looking specifications have been speculated up to this point. I would be very surprised if this will not be powered by Samsung’s own Orion dual-core processor. Optimistically, we can expect this phone to be release in Q2 of 2011, if not Q3.

Given this, my guess would be that Samsung will “unveil” Samsung Continuum on November 8th. Other devices are too far away from the potential launch dates, unless Samsung wants to simply tease us with devices that are still long way from completion.
