Samsung Galaxy S2 unveiled for U.S. carriers

Well Samsung has finally unveiled their latest in the Galaxy S Flagship line, the Galaxy S2 variants destined for the American market. Surprisingly Verizon has no plans to offer this phone. Meanwhile, AT&T, Sprint, and T-Mobile will all be getting a version of the Galaxy S2. There are some slight differences between the three pictured here. AT&T’s version will have the same 4.3 in screen used in the international version, while the Sprint and T-Mobile versions will be sporting a larger 4.52 inch superamoled plus display. T-Mobile’s version, likely named the Hercules was kept under a clear lock box, however we can see that it has slightly rounded corners and previously leaked images have shown the back of the device as well. So far, Sprint’s version looks to be a larger version of the international one minus the physical home button on all three…which may have something to do with that pesky Apple lawsuit.

Personally, I like the look of the Sprint model, although I would have preferred the physical home button to be retained, but since I am on T-Mobile, I may very well accept the few shortcomings of the Hercules and get it….I wasn’t fond of the rounded corners either…but oh well. On the plus side, Sammy just announced a new stunner of a device to be mentioned in an upcoming article….perhaps I will hold off for it instead……..
