Samsung has been on a roll lately, and recently they pulled another fast one on us and unveiled the Galaxy Note. This phone/tablet will have a 5.3 inch super amoled display and pack the familiar dual core. Aside from being a device that uniquely fits between the phone and tablet market, what really stands out about this one is that they have made it compatible with a stylus pen and have preloaded the phone with some unique applications to take advantage of the new feature. While the idea of incorporating a stylus for Android is not entirely new…it is in practice. Samsung has a promo video showing off some of the capabilities and features of the Galaxy Note on Engadget…which I recommend watching. While the stylus concept may not be for everyone, it is an interesting addition to the proven Android platform and as long as it doesn’t ruin the rest of the Android OS feel, then I am all for it. This is in essence what we are all about here at AndroidEvolutions, the evolving platform of Android. This phone/tablet is not expected to hit U.S. shores in the near future, but anything is possible.
On a sidenote, knowing that this is coming down the pipeline might be enough to make me hold off on the Galaxy S2, because lets face it….bigger is better…as long as it still fits comfortably in your pocket…which the Note is said to do. Samsung also announced a new Galaxy Tablet 7.7, although I doubt that will fit in your pocket..so there is a limit at some point, but the Note might just work for me and many others out there who dare to push it to the limits. Interestingly, that tablet 7.7 will also be Samsung’s first tablet to sport their nice super amoled display…cheers!
On another sidenote, I would like to give kudos to Samsung for
